Abstract Red Reticon observations have been obtained for a dozen planetary nebulae between H-delta and the O II forbidden line 7325 A, with the most extensive spectrophotometry lying between H-gamma and the Ar III forbidden line at 7135 A. The results obtained confirm the high N/O ratio found earlier for NGC 6537 from wide aperture photometry. Within wide errors, this extended nebula appears to be homogeneously enriched. An exhaustive discussion is conducted on errors, with internal errors being derived from measured line widths, while the external, systematic variety is evaluated on the basis of comparisons between Reticon and Kitt Peak IRS data for M1-4, observed and theoretical line intensity ratios, and the observations of Me 2-1 given here together with those of Aller, Keyes, and Czyzak (1981).
