Abstract
Abstract We give a complete description of the real point spectrum of the transport operator for positive collision operators: necessary and sufficient conditions for existence; necessary and sufficient conditions for finiteness; estimates of the number of eigenvalues; localization of the point spectrum. Finally we indicate some open problems.
