Abstract

We present the studies of the polarized reflectance spectra (650 cm −1 to 40000 cm −1) of three isostructural charge-transfer salts [Pd(dddt) 2] 2X (where X= AuBr 2, SbF 6, TeCl x ( x=5 or 6)) with dimerized stacks and the salt [Pd(dddt) 2]Ag 1.54Br 3.50 containing uniform Pd(dddt) 2 stacks. Plasma-edge-like dispersions are analyzed using Drude or Drude-Lorentz model. The band structure parameters are determined. The coupling of electrons with the C=C stretching vibrations of Pd(dddt) 2 is discussed in terms of dimer model,
