Abstract

Profited from the unique advantages, airborne MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) Array 3D SAR technique has become a field of intensive research in recent years. By utilizing MIMO array on the fuselage and wings, a radar system can obtain a high resolution in cross track direction, comparable to the resolution in along track direction and height direction. Meanwhile, those imaging algorithms which were proposed for uniformly-spaced sampling are restricted badly to specific MIMO array configurations. For this reason, a 3D imaging algorithm based on spectral domain filling is presented for airborne MIMO array SAR, which can mitigate the spatial sampling model restriction of uniformly-space sampling based imaging algorithms.
