Abstract
The work presents the numerically calculated spectral characteristics of the recently proposed new type of infrared photodetector utilizing electromagnetic carrier depletion (EMCD). The detector was optimized for CO 2 laser radiation (10.6 μm). The results are given for high-quality (Hg, Cd)Te material at 225 K.
