Abstract
The paper considers the problem of emotional development of preschool children in the content of preschool education. Based on the analysis of modern approaches to definition of the content of preschool education, the author highlights the priorities. They are focused on personal development, self-realization and self-development of the child in the activities, formation of individual perception of the world, education of emotional and value-based attitude towards the environment, formation of the child’s individual position. Designing and constructing the content of the «Emotional masterpieces» program that describes the emotional development of 5-7 year old children in preschool educational institution, the author used 4 statements presented by N.S. Ezhkova in her monograph. The author describes 3 stages of children’s mastering the artistic improvisation as the means characterizing and fixing the emotional development of senior preschool children: 1) cognitive and imitative stage (improvisation and imitation of the artistic and aesthetic etalon); 2) initiative and imitative stage (improvisation with elements of creative initiative); 3) efficiently personal stage (improvisation as a personal story).
