Abstract

The implementation of wave digital filters on a digital signal processor specifically designed for this type of filter is discussed. The architecture of this digital signal processor is based on a three-port adaptor. The use of three multiplier accumulators in this architecture enables the computation of the three outputs of a three-port adaptor to be performed at the same time. To implement a wave digital filter a single signal processor or several such digital signal processors operating in parallel can be used.
