Abstract

This paper presents content and historical development of specialists for political communication professions. It describes the occurrence and development of different professional political communicators. Professions of political communicators: media professionals, marketing experts, public relations consultants, spin-doctors and advertisers, are presented in a historical and analytical perspective and in a systematic way. The paper points to the delicate interpenetrations of these professional activities, and warns to the complexity of satisfying the public sphere interests in a democratic political discourse. The paper analyzes ethics codes in the subject fields, too. Professional public should always have in the mind the thought: the protagonists of political fight must overcome particular interests of individuals or political organizations, in a democratic order to satisfy the public interest.
