Abstract

Summary Educational psychologists (EPs) may find themselves thrust by external events into the tribunal arena to defend their own practice and the administrative decisions of their local education authorities (LEAs). The aim of this article is to provide information on tribunal proceedings based on official documents and professional experience. Less emphasis is placed on tribunal outcomes, allowing a primary focus on the process of the hearing and how EPs can be an effective part of this process.
