Abstract

This paper analyzes the spatial variation characteristics of site strength index parameters based on Vanmarke's random field model. The characteristics are analyzed for four typical soil layers in soft soil region: cohesive soil, clayey silt, silty, and mucky soil. Through the comprehensive application of Oracle integrated data management system, PYTHON data analysis program, and MC model, the spatial variability distribution characteristics of shear strength indexes of different soil layers are obtained. It can be seen from the overall analysis results that the application of correlation distance, coefficient of variation, and overall uncertainty in geotechnical engineering reliability analysis can effectively reduce the uncertainty in geotechnical engineering foundation design, which can provide reference for geotechnical engineering reliability analysis and design.
