Abstract

The 2D and 3D scattering intensity spectra of label free clinical lymphocyte cells which are in both normal growing state and abnormal pathological states are studied according to three dimensional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation results. The correlation of intensity spectra and scattering images in different spatial regions are discussed for different cells' structural differences during their pathological changing processes. Some important ground truths which can be effectively adopted for distinguish lymphocyte cells from healthy ones in human peripheral blood without any dying or label techniques are put forward. The research results would be very important to fully discover cells spatial scattering features and provide more reliable sorting criterions for label free cells detection technologies.
