Abstract
The previous chapter has focused on two-dimensional signal constellations with SM, i.e. suitable signal constellations when only one transmit antenna sends a non-zero signal per time instance. In this chapter, we extend some of those approaches on constellation design, set partitioning, and detection methods to the case of more than one active transmit antenna, i.e. the application of multidimensional signal constellations with the GMSM transmission technique from Section 2.2.3.
