Abstract
Abstract Materials were applied on 1 Jun for middle instar BS larval control to 75- by 75-ft plots in a bearing blueberry field at Jonesboro, Maine. There was 1 replication of each treatment, applied at a rate of 20 gpa using a CIMA P55D Atomizer Low Volume sprayer mounted on a Agco Allis 6670 tractor operating at 40 psi and driven at 1.8 mph. At treatment, plants were ca. 90% loose cluster and 10% bloom. On sample dates indicated in table, 4 sets of 10 sweeps were taken in each plot and at least 25 ft from plot boundaries, with a standard 12-inch sweep net. The larvae were counted and then released over the same plot. No unusual weather conditions were noted during this test; 0.70 inches of rainfall were recorded on 8 Jun and 0.98 inches on 15 Jun.
