Abstract

This paper focuses on the present and planned capabilities of the International Space Station for research development and production of materials as well as the verification of technologies which industry may desire to study, perfect, and apply to product development. This paper provides a description of space station accommodations: pressurized and unpressurized. The Research Management Office works with station developers, Utilization Office and NASA Headquarters to establish the environment and schedule for activity to make the most effective and efficient use of the resources within these two environments.
