Abstract
Latest news from the European Space Agency concerns the choice of payload specialists for the first Spacelab mission, and ESA's work on the failure of the Ariane L5 space flight back in September. Dr Ulf Merbold, the German physicist, will accompany Dr Byron Lichtenberg of NASA on the Spacelab flight, with the second European, Dr Wubbo Ockels of The Netherlands, and the second American, Dr Michael Lampton, as flight 'back-ups'.
