Abstract

The electrical conduction properties of ZincPhthalocyanine (ZnPc) thin films, sandwiched between Aluminium electrodes (metal–semiconductor–metal) were investigated at the temperature range 303–483 K. At the low-voltage region the current conduction in the device is Ohmic type. The charge transport phenomenon appears to be space charge limited current (SCLC) at the higher-voltage regions, in the presence of a discrete trapping level. Various electrical parameters were determined from the I– V and C– V analysis. The carrier mobility increases with increasing temperature whereas the density of trapped holes decreases with increasing temperature. The barrier height has also decreases with increase in temperature.
