Abstract
The article contains the description of main directions of the study of the representatives of Belarus who took part in local wars and military conflicts in 1950 – 1980th on the territory of foreign states as Soviet servicemen and civilian specialists. Author describes how to detect the main categories of warriors (military advisers, military specialists, interpreters, etc.; officers, junior commanders, privates) in different countries, the specifics of Soviet participation in different military conflicts and it’s intensification at different stages. For example the author uses wars in Vietnam, Angola, Ethiopia and Arab-Israeli wars.
