Abstract

Abstract Fenpropathrin was evaluated for control of organophosphate-resistant southern chinch bugs on a heavily infested residential lawn of ‘Bitter Blue’ St. Augustine grass in Oakland Park, Broward County, Fla. The lawn had been treated by a commercial lawn service 2 weeks before the test with 1.12 kg of (AI)/ha of chlorpyrifos (the recommended rate) with no resulting control. Plots (1.5 by 3.0 m) were treated with insecticides on 27 Sep. in a RCB experiment with four replicates.
