Abstract

Abstract The specific review questions to be addressed are: (1) For individuals with SSD, to what extent do available auditory prostheses provide improvement in sound-source localization performance (as measured by root-mean-square [rms] degree error)? (2) For individuals with SSD, is there an auditory prosthetic modality that provides significantly better improvement in sound-source localization performance (as measured by rms degree error)? (3) For individuals with SSD, to what extent do available auditory prostheses provide subjective improvement in sound-source localization (as measured by self-report questionnaire)?
