Abstract

On the basis of the theoretical model elaborated for the impedance of modified electrodes an expression is derived for the calculation of the impedance over the whole frequency range. The variation of the impedance spectra as a function of characteristics parameters is analysed by computer simulation using the equation derived. The effect of the film thickness and the thickness distribution (uneven film thickness) is emphasized. Experimental results are presented for Pt/poly(tetracyanoquinodimethane) electrode. The usefulness of the digital simulation is demonstrated. The problems in respect to the impedance data evaluation are discussed.
