Abstract
A convenient and fairly general preparative method is described for obtaining Cr(III) complexes of the type Cr(NH 3) 5X +2. The cases of X = F, Cl, and NCS represent known compounds, and those of X = acetato, dichloroacetato, trichloroacetato, and trifluoroacetato, new compounds which have been prepared by the proposed procedure. The absorption spectral features of all of the preparations are summarized.
