Abstract
A correlation among area-preservingdiffeomorphisms, Weyl-ordered operators, vector fields,and generalized Moyal algebras in two and moredimensions is considered. A basis-independent form ofthe diffeomorphism algebra as well as novel infinite-dimensionalalgebras of the Virasoro and Floratos-Iliopoulos typesare introduced.
