Abstract
This study aims to contribute to bryophyte flora of Mersin, Gumushane and Trabzon provinces and also moss flora of Turkey. 170 moss samples collected from the different localities in the study area between 2009 and 2010 years were evaluated. At the end of the study, 94 taxa and 47 genera belonging to 23 families were listed. According to the Henderson's system, the number of the new grid square record moss taxa for C12 is 13 and 3 moss taxa for A4. In the study, families that have the highest taxa number and the percentages are shown below: Pottiaceae (15, %16.0), Grimmiaceae (14, %14.9), Brachytheciaceae (12, %12.8), Bryaceae (9, %9.6), Polytrichaceae (6, %6.4), Orthotrichaceae (5, %5.3).
