Abstract
The compositions and some structural aspects of complexes got by reacting tribenzoyl-methane or triacetylmethane with main Group II metal and lanthanide ions have been investigated. The substances isolated were examined for thermal stability, volatility, which was lacking, and fluorescence (if any); all were solvated and the lanthanide complexes in solution were succeptible to oxidation giving rise to benzoates or acetates.
