Abstract

Pulmonary Asbestosis is the name given to the type of pneumonconiosis occurring in asbestos workers. Up to the present time he had had an opportunity of examining at the City of London Chest Hospital, 75 patients suspected of having this disease. In this series eight post mortem examinations had been carried out. The asbestos bodies which are found in the sputum were described, and have now been proved to have a central core containing an asbestos fibre.
