Abstract
Background The paper discusses the experience of transition from gas-lift to mechanized method of oil production by electric centrifugal pumps units. Aims and Objectives Analysis of the wells operation at White Tiger oil field after the transition from the gas-lift method of oil production to the mechanized one using the electric centrifugal pumps. Results The authors concluded that the significant possibilities of forced sampling with electric centrifugal pump units resulted in an increase in fluid flow rate from an average of 125 to 680 m3 / d. To solve the issue of the forced sampling effect on the process of replacing productive oil intervals with water, it was proposed to continue electrocentrifugal pumps implementation at high-watered wells at White Tiger oil field. It is recommended to equip wells with electric centrifugal pumps with gas-powered mandrels for possible gas-lift operation for the period of pump inoperability and in some other cases (during start-up, pulling, load reduction).
