Abstract

This paper deals with the evaluation of water pollution in the river Khan, by the study of the insect community structure. These studies show that aquatic insects can serve as useful indicators of water quality in the river. The occurrence of insects in various stretches of the river Khan has been correlated with certain physico‐chemical conditions of the river water.
