Abstract

1. The solvolysis rate constants were determined for chromiumtricarbonylcumenyl chloride and p-(phenylchromiumtricarbonyl)cumenyl chloride at various temperatures, and the values of the activation parameters were calculated. 2. The solvolysis rate of cumenyl chloride, coordinated with the Cr(CO)3 group, is 28 times greater than the solvolysis rate of the uncoordinated cumenyl chloride, while that of the coordinated p-phenylcumenyl chloride is 2.4 times greater.
