Abstract

AbstractPurpose: The article considers the problem of sustainable development of recreational territories, which is based on a balanced state policy in the field of ecology and environmental management.Design/methodology/approach: The research addresses pressing issues related to the implementation of a number of tourist and recreational projects in the North Caucasus Federal District, based on statistics and the results of analysis of serious errors in the ecology of the territorial formations of the North Caucasus republics.Findings: Today’s realities dictate strict requirements of state policy in the field of harmonization of programs of technological development of natural territories, ensuring the implementation of promising national projects taking into account the need to comply with environmental standards of environmental management, which guarantee territorial entities and peoples inhabiting them the opportunity to build long-term prospects for the exploitation of unique natural territories.Originality/value: A one-time solution to the problem of the socio-economic and nature-saving nature of the recreational development of the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District will ensure the creation of a competitive tourist complex that contributes to the growth of indicators of domestic and inbound tourist flow.
