Abstract

SrMoO 4 films have been prepared via chemical solution processing. Ethylene glycol, 1, 2-propylene glycol and glycerol were chosen as solvents. The effects of solvents on the microstructures and morphologies are investigated. X-ray diffraction, atom force microscope and scanning electron microscope have been employed to characterize microstructures and morphologies of the films. The results show that films deriving from different solvents are crystallized near room temperature (40∼60°C). And they have different growth characteristic after annealing. It is found that the number and space configuration of hydroxyl play important roles on the growth characteristic of the films. And when, the SrMoO 4 film derived from glycerol solvents display an oriented growth along a-axis.
