Abstract
Events today seem to mirror the early developments in solventless epoxy coatings, nearly 40 years ago. But this time, all the ingredients are in place for solventless epoxy coatings to become a commercial success in the railway wagon industry Raw material suppliers, paint manufacturers and spray equipment makers are co-operating to meet the needs of railway wagon shops, which must lower their VOC emissions to meet government regulations. The use of solventless epoxy coatings is becoming a viable, cost-effective way for railway wagon shops to continue profitable operation while meeting evertightening regulations.
