Abstract

Values of the equilibrium constant characterizing the solvent extraction of rubidium and caesium ions from aqueous solution, by ion exchange with hydrogen or sodium ions present in an organic phase, with chloroferrate(III) or dipicrylamine as counter anions, have been determined for solutions of 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene and 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene.
