Abstract

Classical singing first appeared in Florence, Italy in the 17th century and was introduced to China in the late 1920's. It has been a century since then. As the discipline of classical singing has evolved, so has the teaching style, and how to improve the quality of classical singing teaching has become a major challenge in the teaching process. This paper attempts to summarize the problems in classical singing teaching by examining three aspects: the teaching qualities that teachers should have, the learning abilities of students, and the combination of traditional and online teaching modes.
