Abstract

AbstractA new algorithm and acorresponding software package are developed that contain a fast tensor algorithm for the deterministic solution of the Boltzmann equation. The domain space discretisation performed with the Delaunay grid and the velocity space discretisation is performed with the tensor grid, and benefits with multilinear decomposition. This algorithm is also implemented for GPGPU processors, which allows to reach very high computational performance. The memory and complexity requirements are comparable with most Navier‐Stockes solvers, however we solve the Boltzmann equation with chemical reactions. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
