Abstract

Let an absolutely stiff stamp be impressed without friction into a linearly elastic anisotropic half-space x~ e 0. For a given stamp shape x 3 = -f(x:, x2) and an impression force P, find: the domain G on a half-space boundary at whose point contact occurs between the stamps and the half-space; the constant ~ representing the elastic closure between the bodies, and the displacement ui(~) and stress oij(~) at points ~ of the half-space.
