Abstract

A lattice gas model is used to discuss the solubility of a solid in a supercritical gas. The model isotherms have qualitatively the correct form over essentially the entire range of gas densities and quantitative agreement is good provided the critical temperature is not approched too closely. The effects of the model parameters on the shape of the isotherms are simply interpreted.
