Abstract
Inevitable part of CIM environment is modelling, simulation and animation of objects, processes and systems. Computer animation of the NC machining represents the actual tendencies in visual verification of NC programs. In the paper a concept of NC milling PC animation is presented by introducing its principal ideas and application aspects. It is developed as an inexpensive PC test model for graphical simulation of the machine tool cutting action. Special attention is given to dynamical display of the tool-workpart system during the machining, thus verifying the metal removal process of an NC tool path.
