Abstract

Spain, with one of the lowest birth rates inEurope, has a high demographic rate in older adults. Its population growth makes it necessary to give priority and immediate social attention and not only to its physical conditions, but also to its social and psychological situation, dimensions that affect the whole life of the person. The social imaginary of life satisfaction is a fundamental indicator of our longed for Welfare State, for that reason, the value judgments that the person makes through his life trajectory are often based on the obtaining, or not, of his aims and desires as well as in his frustrations. In order to examine the factors related to the well-being of the elderly population, a qualitative analysis was carried out, including the sociological, economic and social aspects as well as the resources available to them and how they can affect their physical health. emotional. Establishing a dense network of contacts in the search for new resources and alliances can be a good response to face the challenges we face from the world of the elderly.
