Abstract
In principle the interaction of solar neutrinos with indium provides a very powerful method of measuring the energy spectrum of solar neutrinos in real time. In particular an indium target is unique in its capability to measure the energy spectrum of neutrinos from the basic proton-proton fusion process in the Sun and to detect the monoenergetic 7 Be and p-e-p line sources. This report reviews the present status of attempts to develop a suitable indium detector.
