Abstract

No magnetic storms were recorded at Mount Wilson during July, August, and September. The mean number of sunspot‐groups observed daily in July, 4.4, was the highest monthly mean since the last minimum, which occurred about 1944.2. Sunspot‐groups large enough to be seen without a telescope crossed the Sun's central meridian on July 15.3, August 13.4, and September 23.6, in latitudes 20° south, 23° north, and 19° south, respectively.
