Abstract

In this case study, solar access and passive cooling design criteria are applied to a proposed 100 acre residential development east of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Development goals, climate analysis for energy conservation potential, and determination of design options are discussed. A site plan is proposed and solar access and passive cooling aspects are documented.
