Abstract

In the US, scientists at the Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) have completed the first in a series of fundamental studies of electrode behavior for a solid oxide fuel cell operating with a molten tin anode. NETL has also announced that its Hybrid Performance Fuel Cell Test Facility – known as ‘Hyper’ – recently completed a full-system safety inspection and overhaul by project personnel, and is now back in operation.
