Abstract

Previous papers give hardly any information on the influence of the concentration of sodium lignosulfonate - a multitonnage waste in the pulp and paper industry - on the degree of protection of low carbon St3 steel against corrosion, or the influence on the pH of the corrosive medium and on the distribution of corrosion products in the heterophase system consisting of the specimen surface, circulating water, and precipitate. This article is aimed at filling in this gap in the information.
