Abstract

Socratic dialogue offers reflective practitioners an opportunity to develop critical thinking around themes and debates in their academic and professional areas. Articulated via a fictional correspondence, this dialogue reflects the sequential stages of a research journey by a new student under the experienced personal guidance of an avuncular influence, representing a dialogue between who the reflective practitioner is and what they may become.
