Abstract
The crime of fraud & deception is one of the most prominent economic crimes that are widespread in contemporary societies, whether Western or Arab. And that is because it is based mainly on the intelligence and trickery of the criminal "fraudulent" on the one hand and on the other hand it is based on a set of characteristics that emerge in the victim's personality. Where the latter has a prominent role in the occurrence of this crime. This study is seeking through the sociological analysis of sample of victims in Algerian society, To achieve the following objectives: • Highlight the most important characteristics of victims of the monument fraud & deception and make them love to attract criminals (fraudulent). • Identify the reasons surrounding individuals that cause victims of the monument fraud & deception. The current study of results, most important: • Young people are scamming victims of fraud because of their greed to increase their wealth, while the elderly fall victim to fraud because of their quest to provide aid and contribute to charitable work. • Females are subjected to fraud and deception because of excessive kindness, while males are subjected to fraud and deception because of their arrogance and belief that they are smart. • People in big cities are more vulnerable to fraud than people in smaller cities. The current study concluded with a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: • The need for individuals to avoid being in places suspicious of the presence of fraudsters or that are prohibited from going to due to the large presence of suspects in them, as well as avoiding appearing at critical times in which they should not appear. • The need to pay attention to the human element financially and morally, and to give it the necessary awareness of the dangers of fraud and deception, which will protect it from falling into the trap of fraudsters.
