Socio-Environmental Factor as a Determinant of the Modern Development of Investment and Construction Business in the Region

Abstract

For successful regional development of investment and construction business, modern economy requires to consider a variety of factors affecting the construction processes. The socio-ecological factor is becoming one of the main determinants of sustainable development of construction business in our country. The topic becomes relevant in the situation of the imposed sanctions restrictions. The purpose of the study was to identify and classify socio-environmental factors that influence the investment and construction business, to determine their significance for the regional economy. The study considered social and environmental factors that determine the direction of investment and construction activities in the region, showed the influence of the environmental factor on the choice of consumers of construction products, on the example of the regions of Siberia. We analyzed social and environmental factors determining the quality of the urban environment and quality of life using the index system of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation and VEB.RF. The study showed the development of the domestic system of green construction tools. We concluded that it is necessary to institutionalize social and environmental responsibility of the construction business as a direction for the development of green construction. The study highlighted main elements of the process of institutionalization in accordance with the social and environmental priorities of the development of the investment and construction business.
