Abstract
Our life today is breaking up many dead schemes and stereotypes, demanding endeavors that are alive, based on the actual needs and possibilities of society. Fundamentally new approaches to extramural upbringing are being developed by the Shkola-mikroraion [microdistrict school] VNIK [Vremennyi nauchno-issledovatel'skii kollektiv; interim scientific research collective, set up to explore new approaches in education under the perestroika policy—Tr. Ed.] under the supervision of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Valentina Bocharova.
