Social Empowerment of Women

Abstract

The aim of the current study is to shed light on the empowerment of women in human society and to move away from the marginalization of women in society because women are half of society, in addition to the fact that women have duties and also have rights, and that empowering women must be based on the reality of society, its values, and its requirements so that the empowerment of women is not a burden. Society, on the contrary, must be a pillar for the development of society, and empowerment must be in line with the Islamic religion and Arab values and customs. The current research sheds light on indicators of women's social empowerment, criteria for women's social empowerment, levels of women's social empowerment, and theories explaining women's empowerment.
