Abstract

Many studies have shown that community social capital supports sustainable natural resource management. This research demonstrates how social capital and collaborative management of the environment are related. The study was conducted in Bali's Buleleng Regency using a survey methodology. The study results show that people in eight villages are located in the "Den Bukit" area and carry out collective action "Atas Nama Air ."This collective action took place in the last year after strengthening social capital. Strengthening social capital is carried out by community leaders and supported by government intervention through the Social Forestry program. According to the findings of this study, it is suggested that community leaders' capacity and social capital, as well as government support for encouraging sustainable natural resource management, be strengthened.
