Abstract

Formative assessment such as classroom assessment techniques are used very little in higher education. When the literature is examined, it is seen that the use of these techniques makes significant contributions to the teaching process. The aim of this study is to find out the impact of instruction with classroom assessment techniques on students’ level of competency in reliability and validity and the metaphors regarding these techniques. As a result of the study, it can be argued that teaching with the aid of classroom assessment techniques were effectual in increasing the students’ competencies about reliability and validity. Parallel to this, it can be stated that most of the metephores produced by the experimental group are positive.
